BAPTISMS: Please speak first to Father Emmanuel after Sunday Mass, who will give you a form to fill in and submit back to him. Parents must attend Mass before a date can be agreed for baptism. Baptism preparation meetings take place once a month on a Wednesday at 7 pm. The next meeting will be in the new year.

SERIOUS PROBLEM: For a long time there were no buildings next to the hall since they demolished the school. Then they built new houses and they are very close to the hall. The first time we played music there, they rang up and asked us to turn the volume down. This has happened again, so I don’t know what the answer is . The walls of the hall are thin – no insulation to deaden the sound.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL EVENT: We thank all those who participated in the Christmas fundraiser Event of St Osmund last Sunday. The amount generated from this (this includes the sale of Raffle Tickets) is £1367.60 Thank you for making this a very enjoyable event.

The list for the winners in the raffle draw is in the porch, the winners can pick there prizes up after mass on Sundays or weekdays.

Christmas social at St. Teresa on Sunday, Dec. 14th. In the school hall.

RAFFLE PRIZES – TICKETS ON SALE: December 14th at St. Teresa’s hall at the Christmas get-together celebration.

S.V.P. MEETING:  Will have their meeting on the 18th December at 7 pm in the Parish House

SOCIAL COMMITTEE: Next meeting is to be arranged with Fr. Emmanuel.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS for 2026 to be decided by St. Osmund social committee. Flatcappers concert. Irish dancing display, with (maybe) an Irish dance night. Fish and chips some Friday lunch time. Coach trip-maybe to Skipton market which is open on Fridays.

HALL is available for hire (as long as you don’t make too much noise and make the neighbours complain! ! )

BOLTON HOSPICE CHARITY NIGHT: The amount raised for this event was £1284, thank you to everyone for their donations and there will also be a donation to Bolton Hospice by Barclays Bank thanks to Philip Jones (Manager Barclays) Huge Thank you from Dabid and Maria Lee

ST. TERESA SALE OF LAND: They have done a survey-mining, health and safety, gas monitoring, chemical soil testing, asbestos quantification, on the land at back of church and found a few issues. There was a pond there, and the builders doing the racecourse estate dumped all their waste materials in it instead of disposing of it properly. Asbestos has been found, so it will devalue the land a bit.

DIOCESAN ALMANACS: £5 only a few!

KEYS: Those who are holding the keys to the Presbytery or Church need to identify with Fr Emmanuel

Father Emmanuel Chukwujekwu
