Parish Homily

Twenty-Fourth Sunday of Year A 2026

The sermon will be available in full from
5.30 pm on Saturday, 12th September 2026

USHERS: More ushers are needed for the Saturday vigil mass and the Sunday mass at St Osmund.

VOLUNTARY WORKS –  We would like to thank all those who have been helping in the voluntary works in the parish in one way or another. But we still need more volunteers for the following at St Osmund:

  • The cleaning of the small garden directly in front of the Church.
  • The fixing of carpet tiles in the sound system room.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS

CRAFT FAIR: There will be a Craft Fair in the parish hall on Saturday 12th, of September from 12:30 – 4:00pm.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF BLESSED DOMINIC BARBERI: We will be going on a pilgrimage as a parish to the shrine of Blessed Dominic Barberi in Sutton, St Helens, Liverpool on Wednesday the 30th of this month. We are meant to be there at 11 am and we are not organizing any coach trip to the place. All those who wish to go are to transport themselves to the place. But those who may like to go but may not be able to transport themselves need to identify on time so that an arrangement can be made with those who will be driving to the place.

Flatcappers Group: has been booked for a social evening event in the Parish Hall, to be held on Saturday, 17th October 2026.

Hall: is available for hire (as long as you don’t make too much noise and make the neighbours complain! ! )
