BAPTISMS

Please speak first to Father Emmanuel after Sunday Mass, who will give you a form to fill in and submit back to him.

Parents must attend Mass before a date can be agreed for baptism. Baptism preparation meetings take place once a month on a Wednesday at 7pm.

CHURCH CLEANING

Church Cleaning at St. Osmund, Tuesday 31st March at 10am, ready for Easter.

Any helpers would be greatly welcome, cleaning usually takes just over an hour, with a warm drink provided.

MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED More volunteers are needed for Church Cleaning, Sacristy work and money counting. Anyone who is interested should identify with Fr. Emmanuel.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS Jimmy Burke has helped in St. Osmund’s Church and some other Churches around at least for 55 years. He has now retired and attends St. Patrick’s Church in town. There will be a get together in the Parish Hall after 11.00am Mass on Sunday 22nd March 2026 for a presentation. A meeting will be held on Wednesday 18th March at 6.00 pm (in the Presbytery) to plan this event. Volunteer helpers needed to plan and help on the day.

Fish and Chips Lunch will be held in the Parish Hall on Friday, 24th April 2026. Olympus Restaurant will supply and deliver our orders. There will be a list at the entrance hall of both Churches giving details and if you would like to join us please add your name contact number and payment of £9.00 into an envelope with your details on the front and hand completed envelopes to Father.

Coach trip to Lancaster is to be held on Friday, 3rd July 2026. A 30 seater coach has been booked with Atlantic Travel. On return journey back to Bolton, the Coach will make a stop off at Barton Grange Garden Centre, in Preston. Cost per person £16.00. More details to follow.

Ukulele Group (Proposed event yet to be confirmed) will once more play in the Parish Hall on the afternoon on Sunday, 17th May 2026. All donations gratefully received, will be for “Sam’s Gift” a local Teenage Cancer Charity.

Flatcappers Group will be booked for a social evening event in the Parish Hall, to be held on Saturday, 17th October 2026.

HALL is available for hire (as long as you don’t make too much noise and make the neighbours complain! ! )

FR EMMANUEL’S DAY OFF is every Monday; he is to be contacted any other days apart from Mondays except on urgent situations.

CAFOD/CARITAS ENVELOPE – There are Cafod and Caritas envelopes at the back of the Church, please pick them and return them next week on

GIFT AID DONATIONS There will be a retiring collection for Jimmy Burke.

PAX CHRISTI – There are Gift Aid Forms at the back of Church for anyone who has not completed and signed one. It is important these forms are returned back to us as this will allow the Diocese to claim tax back on donations for our Parish.
